Eraserheads, a Filipino alternative rock band, was formed in 1989 and is considered the most influential in Philippine music history. They are considered "The Beatles of the Philippines" and have sold 9 million albums. Their third album, Cutterpillow, achieved platinum status multiple times and they received the International Viewer's Choice Award at the 1997 MTV Video Music Awards.
