Victor Wood Lyrics

Victor Nobleza Wood was a Filipino singer, actor, and politician known for his titles like "Jukebox King" and "Plaka King". He starred in productions of Sampaguita Pictures and was a member of Iglesia ni Cristo. Wood's career flourished in the 1970s, with his third album, In Despair, released in 1972. The album featured cover versions of popular English songs from the 1950s and 1960s, with slow ballads and upbeat songs. In 1974, Wood released his eleventh album, Ihilak, featuring 12 songs sung in the Visayan language. In 1979, Wood covered the Indonesian version of "Anak" from Freddie Aguilar. Wood and his family migrated to the United States in the late 1970s.
