Michael Abarico Hanopol, also known as Mike Hanopol, is a Filipino rock musician, singer, guitarist, and recording artist. He is a pioneer of rock music in the Philippines, producing twenty albums, three of which won Gold prize awards and three received Aliw Awards. Hanopol's trademarks include his beret, leather clothing, and Steinberger guitar. His experience in seminary influenced him to compose song lyrics based on Bible passages, such as "Balong Malalim" and "Laki sa Layaw". His latest album, Lagablab, features songs based on the Book of Psalms and the Ten Commandments. Hanopol is a legendary rock artist recognized in Asia and the Western world.
