Joseph William Feliciano Smith was a Filipino-American singer-songwriter, drummer, and guitarist known by his stage names Joey Smith and Pepe Smith. He gained prominence as a drummer for Speed, Glue & Shinki and Juan de la Cruz Band, pioneering Filipino rock music. Smith was arrested in 1991 for illegal possession of methamphetamine and jailed for 19 months for drug trafficking. In 1994, he survived a car accident and released his first solo album, Idiosyncrasies, in 2005. He also appeared in a documentary on his life, Pepe's Myth, and played a character in the 2014 movie, Above the Clouds.
